Three ways you can leave a gift in your Will:

Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful way to support Deki’s work and create lasting change for rural communities. There are a few simple ways you can choose to give:

1.       Pecuniary gift
This is a fixed sum of money that you choose to leave to Deki. It’s a straightforward way to make a meaningful contribution.

2.     Residuary gift
This allows you to leave a share of your estate to Deki, after you have taken care of your family and loved ones. Many people choose this option as it keeps its value over time and can grow alongside your estate.

3.     Specific gift
You may wish to leave a particular item of value, such as property, jewellery, or artwork. These gifts can make a lasting difference in supporting our work.

However you choose to give, your legacy will help empower women, support families, and create more sustainable futures for generations to come.

Inheritance Tax

A gift to Deki in your Will is exempt from inheritance tax. If you choose to leave 10% or more of your estate to Deki, you may also benefit from a reduced inheritance tax rate.

As everyone’s circumstances are different, we recommend speaking with your solicitor or financial advisor for guidance on inheritance tax and capital gains tax, so you can make the decision that’s right for you.
