Give As You Earn

Workplace giving is a way for people to give a regular donation to a charity of their choice through their salary. Also known as payroll giving or give as you earn; thousands of companies large and small now offer it to their staff.

Donations are deducted from salaries before tax, making it a tax-efficient way to donate to Deki.

Example: A £20 donation made through payroll giving by an employee on 20% tax will cost the employee £16 but mean £20 for Deki.

  • £5 could help provide business training that transforms an entrepreneurs business.
  • £15 could help teach an entrepreneur sustainable farming techniques, improving their income whilst minimizing the impact on the environment.
  • £20 could help marginalised communities gain access to lifesaving healthcare.

If you're an employer and you're interested in setting up Payroll giving for your employees, then please read Deki's guide to workplace giving.

If you're an employee looking to donate to Deki regularly through workplace giving, then please visit Deki's Giving Online page to find out more.

Match Funding

Match funding is a simple way of maximising your own fundraising efforts.  Many larger companies offer match funding and will pledge a sum of money relating to the amount you donate to Deki, very often on a £ for £ basis, to a certain limit.  It is impossible to list all of the UK companies who operate a match funding programme, but here is a list of some of the bigger companies that we know of.  If your company isn't on this list, ask if they would consider setting up a scheme!
