Deki is a small Bristol-based international development charity. Deki’s mission is to empower people living in poverty to create sustainable livelihoods by providing access to ethical microloans and training. We do this by providing entrepreneurs in Togo and Uganda with access to loan capital and our in-country Field Partners with specialised technical assistance to help them build up their programmes and grow sustainably.

What are we looking for? We are looking to fill three roles to start in October 2019. Our ideal candidates are reliable, independent, highly motivated and creative and have experience in either International Development, Computing, or Data Science. They will be able to think ‘outside the box’ and be willing to work with our Field partners in Togo and Uganda where necessary.

Competency in French is desirable, but not essential.

What your role could include:

·       Conducting research and presenting findings

·       Assisting with the preparation for bi-Annual field visits

·       Supporting day-to-day Field Partner management activities

·       Supporting the production of Deki’s Annual Impact Report

·       Support with production and dissemination of committee papers

·       Working directly with International Programmes Officer and Strategic Director

The role is designed to provide a rewarding opportunity for anyone who is interested in gaining valuable experience and new skills to get into paid international or charity work.
