We need a Digital Marketing Geek!

This is an unpaid, volunteer position

Location: 45-47 Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS1 3QP

2-3 days a week – flexi time

Minimum 3 months commitment

Daily expenses covered up to £5

Are you creative, hardworking and looking for that first foothold in digital marketing? Or maybe you’re ready to return to work and want to get things rolling by sharing your digital skills with a charity?

This is a volunteer role in our small, but well-oiled Deki digital marketing team.

The role is all about juggling learning with doing. There’s no typical day at Deki, so you can expect anything from writing and scheduling social media posts, creating visuals and videos, to setting up an AdWord campaign, monitoring it all with Google Analytics or creating a slick report.

This is a challenging and creative role. You must be able to plan your time and be proactive in managing your own workload. As good with numbers as with words, you will be inspired by finding solutions and be comfortable working individually or as part of a team.

What we’re looking for

Do you dream about creating the perfect post, getting thousands are shares and retweets? If you’re creative, enthusiastic and organised this is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in digital marketing, while also helping people in Africa lift themselves out of poverty. A fab combination to put on your CV to impress any future employer!

Your top skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable communicating through a wide range of social media platforms

  • Experience in solving problems

  • Passion for sharing creative ideas and an eye for detail

  • Organised and able to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

 These could set you apart

  • A fascination with new ideas and digital trends

  • Experience in using design software

  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Adwords or other tools would also be really handy.

We reserve the right to request DBS checks
