Why Women Matter

Did you know that 70% of Deki loans go to women?

According to the World Bank, women grow about 80% of the food eaten by poor families, yet still have much less access than men to knowledge, technology, credit and land.

Imagine a world where women had the same use of these resources as men. Crop yield would increase substantially and the local economy would thrive.

Yet in many developing countries, gender discrimination is sadly still very common. The United Nations have made it one of their top goals of 2015 to promote gender equality and empower women. Deki are on a mission to make this goal a reality. We offer loans to women who would otherwise not be able to receive any help from banks in their home country due to gender discrimination.
