Our fantastic new short film ‘Brigitte, Bruno and Ben’ is here! Created for Deki by Aardman Animations it shows how a loan of just £10 can change the lives of an entire family in the developing world. In the 70-second short animated film Ben who lives in the UK decides that there are better ways to spend his £10 than buy yet another shirt for his dog Buster, and decides to invest it into a Deki microloan. Watch the film to see what happens next.
The film was written and animated by Lucy Izzard for Aardman and aims to connect with a large range of people from all ages and backgrounds.
DogDeki currently works with field partners in Malawi, Ghana and South Sudan to provide microloans for people living in poverty. 100% of all money lent goes directly to the entrepreneur, and lenders are then paid back over an average of 12 months. As the money is repaid it can then be withdrawn or relent to another entrepreneur. Even a small initial investment can help a number of people raise themselves out of poverty.

Next Thursday 24th July (6-8pm) we have decided to have an impromptu get-together to say hi to our local friends and lenders.
We will be screening the new animation while enjoying a lovely summer drink and a nibble. Also Diane our International Programmes Manager will have just got back from Malawi and she will be able to give us all an update on how our entrepreneurs are getting along.
Our partner Friska have kindly offered to host the evening at their Queens Road Store Bristol BS8, and there will be a raffle with some exciting prizes up for grabs. We’re really looking forward to the evening, so it would be great to see as many of you there as possible! Please RSVP – email@example.com
