School Kids Pack Tesco Bags and Raise Money for Deki
Year 7 students of Bradley Stoke Community School did a fantastic job organising a charity bag packing day on Friday 21st June at the local Tesco. They spent 5 hours at the store, packing customers’ bags to raise money for Deki, their chosen charity. Three students organised the event, contacting Tesco and arranging the date, they then gathered two teams of supporters to cover the time.
Bradley Stoke Community School students have been supporting Deki all year, and managed to raise an impressive £246.56 on the day. The funds will be added to Bradley Stoke school account where children regularly decide which entrepreneurs to support next. The School has already lent nearly £2,000 through Deki by recycling their funds.
A massive thank you from Deki to the three girls leading the project – Hollie Lawson, Lucy Morgan and Poppy Taylor – plus their supporting team members: Scott Warburton, Fidell Reed, James Sparkes, Spencer Badcock, Sophie Warren, Megan Yates, Francesca Randall, Holly Stephens, Jade Fisher, Neveen Hroub, Katie Barr, Imogen Pickford and Charlotte Cottrell. You should be extremely proud of your work knowing how it will help the entrepreneurs in the developing world
