Trust Fundraising and Administration Co-ordinator

Duration: Temporary, part time over 3 months (2-3 days a week)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a fundraising intern to come and join the Deki team!

We are looking for a reliable, independent, highly motivated intern with a passion for international development. The role will cover three key areas: Trust Fundraising Research & Applications, General Administration Duties as well as Updating & Maintaining the Database. The intern will report directly to the CEO.

The role will provide an exciting and rewarding opportunity in a small, dynamic charity. As the Trust Fundraising & Admin Co-ordinator you will have the opportunity to put your previous experience into great use, while learning an array of new skills. You will get to see the benefit of the work undertaken and understand how it supports our partner organisations in the developing world.

Key Duties:

1) Trust Fundraising:

  • Research small trusts and send letters of interest
  • Research large trusts & discuss with Fundraising Co-ordinator
  • Complete application process for medium size organisations
  • Help Fundraising Co-ordinator prepare for upcoming deadlines
  • Any other admin duties related to Trust Fundraising

 2) Database:

  • Input new and old contacts into database
  • Ensure team members know how to use database
  • Working with the Deki team to ensure majority of contacts are in database
  • Solving issues other team members may have with database 

Experience, qualifications and requirements:

Essential:

  • Good IT and word processing skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of working on Trust Fundraising
  • Experience of working with databases
  • Strong organisational skills
