Episode 3.5: Happy Holidays from the Deki Team - 21/12/2009
Just a quick message this week… On behalf of the entire Deki team, I’d like to wish the entire Deki community a festive and happy holiday season and a terrific New Year. As mentioned in previous blogs, we have big plans already underway for the coming months and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in poor people’s lives in 2010 and beyond. With your small loans you are helping people like Ganga in Kathmandu (see last week’s blog) change their lives and improve their families’ circumstances, and I personally hope that everyone’s holidays are improved a little bit by the knowledge that you are helping to make a real, sustainable difference in developing countries.
On an aside, if you’re struggling to get your Christmas shopping done or aren’t sure about what to get someone, consider getting them a Deki Gift Card. It’s a great way to make a difference and spread the word about Deki, and they’re available right up to Christmas Day because you can print them off yourself at home.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND BEST WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR!
If you have a question about Deki, about what we do, or about microfinance in general, please get in touch with me and I’ll do everything I can to answer your question in upcoming episodes of the Deki Blog. Don’t be shy, get in touch! In the coming weeks you can check back here to read stories about the borrowers that you may have lent to, as well as updates and news about Deki and the Deki community.
Thanks for reading!
